Painting prodigy Hong Cheon Ki (Kim Yoo Jung) astounds Joseon Korea by being the first woman chosen to study at the Royal Academy of Painting, or Dohwhaseo. She becomes infatuated with blind officer Ha Ram (Ahn Hyo Seop), who works for Seowoongwang, the ministry of astronomy, geography, meteorology, and astrology. This drama also stars idol Gong Myung of 5urprise as the historical figure Grand Prince Anpyeong.

The Viki Korean drama Red Sky is based on two novels by Jung Eun Gwol, which fictionalized the real-life historical figure of Hong Cheon Ki. I am so excited to watch a good historical drama! What do you think? Let me know in the comments below.
